Edgar and I spent three years swapping files during an era of great tumult and transition. He moved across the US while I moved halfway. Mass death all around... you know the story. The release had an entire earlier, longer, and noisier iteration that I arranged from our early file swaps while I was traveling in Mexico and Spain. But it wasn't right, so we forged ahead. We ended up with this mercurial, softly smoldering mix of tracks, mastered to make the quiet songs as loud as possible. We think it ended up sounding strangely cosmic but simple, the sound of friends patiently weaving the fabric of their rapidly changing lives into seven pieces of smeared nighttime lullabies.
